About Erin
Erin Jemison is a proven policy leader, nonprofit strategist, and community advocate with more than two decades of experience turning progressive values into real, measurable results. Throughout her career, Erin has worked alongside lawmakers, local officials, and advocates to solve problems at the intersection of public policy, public safety, economic opportunity, and equity—strengthening systems so they’re fairer, more effective, and more responsive to people’s lives.
Erin currently serves as Director of Public Policy at the Utah Domestic Violence Coalition, leading statewide efforts to improve safety, accountability, and prevention. Working with survivors, service providers, and lawmakers across the political spectrum, she has helped pass major reforms and secure historic investments in community-based services. Under her leadership, Utah has doubled—and then doubled again—state funding for domestic violence services and become one of only a handful of states to enact comprehensive family court reform centered on safety and fairness.
Erin is known for taking on complex challenges and delivering results. She has led multi-state policy initiatives, managed large teams and government grants, and produced research that has shaped legislation and public debate in Utah and beyond. As Executive Director of the Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault, she rebuilt a struggling organization into a respected, financially stable statewide leader: expanding services, restoring trust, and helping pass legislation that strengthened accountability and increased access to treatment to reduce repeat harm.
Erin’s approach is practical, data-driven, and rooted in a simple belief: government should work for people, especially those who have too often been overlooked or left out.
Erin is running to represent House District 34 because she believes our communities are strongest when policy reflects our shared values: safety, dignity, opportunity, and accountability. She brings the experience to lead, the relationships to govern effectively, and the fierce commitment to deliver results.
She and her husband Joel call Holladay home and are excited to help bring their neighbors’ values and voices to the legislature. Their dog, Frannie, and cat, Rosie, are also ready to get to work to make sure more treats are available, communities are more nap-friendly, and all furniture is available for pets.
